Scoutmaster Minute:
WORDS COULD NEVER ADEQUATELY CONVEY HOW GREAT THE IMPACT OUR ATTITUDE CAN
HAVE ON OUR LIVES.
THE LONGER I LIVE THE MORE CONVINCED I BECOME THAT LIFE IS 10
PERCENT WHAT HAPPENS TO US AND 90 PERCENT HOW WE RESPOND TO IT.
I BELIEVE THE SINGLE MOST SIGNIFICANT DECISION I CAN MAKE ON A
DAY-TO-DAY BASIS IS MY CHOICE OF ATTITUDE. IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MY
PAST, MY EDUCATION, MY BANKROLL, MY SUCCESSES OR FAILURES, FAME OR PAIN,
WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF ME OR SAY ABOUT ME, MY CIRCUMSTANCES, OR MY
POSITION.
ATTITUDE KEEPS ME GOING OR CRIPPLES MY PROGRESS. IT ALONE FUELS MY
FIRE OR ASSAULTS MY HOPE.
WHEN MY ATTITUDE IS RIGHT, THERE'S NO BARRIER TOO WIDE, NO VALLEY
TOO DEEP, NO DREAM TOO EXTREME, NO CHALLENGE TOO GREAT FOR ME.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:00pm.
Next meeting April 6th. Reminder will start at 6:30pm for crossover and COH

Scoutmaster Minute:
OUR FLAG STANDS FOR FREEDOM AND EQUALITY. IT IS THE BANNER OF A PEOPLE WHO
ARE STILL WILLING TO LAY DOWN THEIR LIVES IN DEFENSE OF RIGHT, JUSTICE, AND
FREEDOM. IT IS THE EMBLEM BY WHICH WE PROCLAIM TO THE WORLD THAT THIS IS
"THE HOME OF THE BRAVE AND THE LAND OF THE FREE."
OUR FLAG IS AN EMBLEM OF TRUE PATRIOTISM-THE PATRIOTISM OF DEEDS; THE
PATRIOTISM OF COURAGE, OF LOYALTY, OF DEVOTION TO FREEDOM, JUSTICE, AND
HUMANITY; THE PATRIOTISM OF MEN WHO HAVE LIVED AND DIED, NOT FOR THEMSELVES
BUT FOR THEIR COUNTRY.
WHEN WE LOOK AT OUR FLAG-ITS STARS AND STRIPES, ITS VIVID RED, WHITE, AND
BLUE-AND READ ITS STORY AND HEAR ITS MESSAGE, WHEN WE CONTEMPLATE WHAT OUR
FLAG MEANS AND WHAT IT STANDS FOR, AND WHEN WE CONSIDER THE SACRIFICES MADE
AND THE LIVES GIVEN SO THAT OUR FLAG COULD STILL BE FLYING OVER US TODAY, WE
ARE QUIETLY REMINDED TO CHERISH, TO PROTECT, AND TO DEFEND IT.
Moment of silence was held for troops in Iraq and Meeting adjourned 9:00pm.
Next meeting March 23rd. See you all then will be Snuffy prep and don't
forget your day packs!

Folks I just received an email from Rutgers. They maybe getting a NIT game on March 14th or 15th. The decision will not happen until this Sunday night. They are asking interested groups to respond if they would like to work concessions.
I have not responded because I need to hear from you guys if you can and if you are willing to work. The game will only be one night not both but if it is an NIT game it should be similiar to a mens big east home game. Since it is a tournament game it would most likely be bigger than any basketball event we have ever worked.
Let me know if you are willing and able to work an NIT event by Wedensday morning and I will get back to Rutgers.
Thanks Dan

Troop 10: Here are the announcements since we did not meet last week:
1. Beaver day up at KMSR will be March 25th. I need to register the Troop and would like to see some turn out by the scouts. I am going. There will be a sign up sheet this Thursday.
2. The Spring Camporee will be on the weekend of April 28th to the 30th. it will be located at the Middlesex County Fair Grounds in East Brunswick. The theme is emergency preparedness. There will be a sign up sheet this Thursday. I need to register the Troop so I need to see the scouts start getting geared up for this event and begin to sign up.
3. Board of Reviews will be this Thursday. Currently there is only one scout who has advised Mrs. Monticchio that he needs a BOR.
4. Order of the Arrow elections will be held on the 23rd of March. If you are eligible for the O/A please plan on attending. It is important for everyone to be there so that they can vote for those scouts who are eligible. IMPORTANT - ALL ELIGIBLE SCOUTS CAN BE VOTED IN. A SCOUT CAN VOTE FOR EVERY BOY ON THE LIST. NOT JUST ONE NAME.
5. Remember - There is a Merit Badge Fair scheduled for April 1. If you did not finish a merit badge at the Semios fair and it's offered at the April fair you can finish it there.
6. For those scouts who are considering or involved in the Sakawawin Chapter of the O/A the meeting nights will be changing from the second Wednesday of the month to a Monday night (Unknown which Monday).
7. REMEMBER - We have a fundraiser on March 12th. This is a big one. It's all day four games. We could make a substantial amount of money for the Troop. If we can't get enough people we have to go outside the Troop which will cut down on the money we can make. This is for you children. Please try to help.
8. Any scout interested in working at KMSR for the summer let me know. You must be at least 14 years old. It is a great time and you will learn a lot. If you are 14 you can be a CIT (However you don't get paid for the four weeks you will spend there). If you are 15 or older you do get paid and you will still have a great time.
9. There will be a Bird Study Merit Badge Day Saturday April 8 at the Plainsboro Preserve. If interested contact Gary Wilson at k2gw@arrl.net. The cost is $15.00
10. Adults contact Victor J. Belanger at vic@apink.com if you are interested in the Winter 2006 NRA courses Basic Instructor Training is 3-12 (Fundraiser day) and Rifle Instructor Course is 3-25 and 3-26
11. I will be at this Thursdays meeting only till 7:30 PM. I have an O/A LEC meeting at council at 7: 30 PM.
11. FOR ALL SCOUTS. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU KNOW YOUR MATERIAL FOR RANK ADVANCEMENT. IN THE FUTURE I WILL BE QUIZZING YOU ON YOUR SKILLS FOR THE RANK YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO ACHIEVE. IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE SKILLS, I MAY ASK YOU TO BRUSH UP ON THEM AND COME BACK IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS BEFORE I SIGN OFF ON THE SCOUT MASTERS CONFERENCE. YOU ALL KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS FOR YOU TO KNOW YOUR SKILLS AND I FEEL THERE IS NOTHING MORE PRESSING THAN THIS. IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR SKILLS THEN HOW CAN YOU TEACH THE NEWER BOYS THAT COME INTO THE TROOP IN THE FUTURE. REMEMBER YOU ARE ONLY HURTING YOURSELVES IF YOU DON'T KNOW THEM. I WANT TROOP 10 AND ALL IT'S SCOUTS TO TO BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE.
See you at this Thursdays meeting March 9th at 7:00pm.
12/8/05
Please inform the Troop that we picked up the following items -
Black jacket small - JP Morgan stitched on the front
One Troop 10 neckerchief
One merit badge sash.
Please contact Mr. Williams WILLKALL@aol.com if one of the above items belong to you.
Thanks
Karen
